šŸ… Grovedale Little Athletics Parent Charter

At Grovedale Little Athletics, we are committed to creating a positive, inclusive, and supportive environment where every child can thrive. As a parent or guardian, your active involvement is essential to the success of our club and the development of our young athletes. By joining our community, you agree to uphold the following principles:

šŸ‘Øā€šŸ‘©ā€šŸ‘§ā€šŸ‘¦
Responsibilities

Supervision: Ensure your child is supervised at all times during events and training sessions. If you are unable to attend, please arrange for a responsible adult to care for your child.

Participation: Contribute to the smooth running of events by volunteering for roles such as officiating, recording results, or assisting with equipment setup and pack-down.

Safety: Prioritise the safety and well-being of all athletes by following club guidelines and ensuring your child listens to officials and volunteers.

šŸ¤
Behaviour

Respect: Treat all athletes, families, officials, and volunteers with courtesy and respect. Promote good sportsmanship and positive interactions.

Encouragement: Celebrate your child’s efforts, progress, and participation—focusing on personal growth rather than just results.

Language: Use respectful and appropriate language at all times. Avoid swearing or comments that may negatively impact others’ experience.

šŸ’Ŗ
Commitment

Volunteering: Grovedale Little Athletics is proudly volunteer-run. It is a condition of registration that parents and carers of registered athletes commit to volunteer duties throughout the season. Failure to participate may affect your child’s eligibility to compete.

Community Spirit: Support not only your child but also other athletes and families, helping to foster a culture of teamwork and inclusion.

Compliance: Abide by all club policies, including providing a valid Working with Children Check if required for your role.

By embracing these values, we can build a welcoming and enriching environment where every child feels supported, celebrated, and inspired to enjoy the sport of athletics.

Volunteering at Grovedale Little Athletics

Grovedale Little Athletics thrives because of the dedication of our families. Volunteering is not just appreciated—it’s essential.

Why is volunteering important? Our events and programs rely on the support of parents and carers. Whether it’s setting up equipment or helping at the finish line, every role enhances the experience for our young athletes.

Is volunteering mandatory? Yes. As part of registration, all families commit to volunteer duties throughout the season. This ensures fairness and helps us maintain a safe, high-quality program.

What happens if I don’t volunteer? Non-participation may impact your child’s ability to compete. If you’re facing challenges, please reach out—our team is here to help.

How can I get involved? You’ll receive regular updates and rosters, and we’ll ensure you feel confident and supported in your role. See Volunteer Duties for more information on available duties and how to register.
